St. CLOUD, Minn.–crossed the intersection as busy as 25th Avenue and 3rd Street in St. Cloud and You should be careful. Steve Conner always is. But it did not help him Sunday night.
“You never think you’re going to get hit by a car, sitting at home,” laughed Conner, 52, still maintaining a sense of humor, albeit wrapped around his bad ankle sprains.
Conner’s house-sitting for a friend, playing cards in the computer, and when he heard tires screech and began to rise up to check it out “because I think it’s going to be an accident. It was an accident-it hit me, “he laughed.
Chevy Camaro came through the wall, striking Conner is difficult enough to cast her in the living room. He staggered outside and collapsed on the lawn, where emergency responders will find it a few minutes later had to be tended by neighbors.
