The gallery features art of sneaker

Raeven King mixed up his obsession sneaker in a very visual. Former Omahan opens online gallery limited edition earlier this year with a focus on arts and culture the sneaker. He and his business partner, Simpson, Tennelle contemporer conceived from or inspired by athletic shoes.

“Our goal is to change the image of just the shoes to sneakers art,” said the King, 30, who now lives in New York City. “We want to show the intense detail and aesthetics that goes to shoes and finally inspire others to see the beauty through art.”

Sneakers have a very devout following. They are one of the most sought after fashion accessories in New York, Los Angeles, London, Tokyo and Paris.

King, a self-proclaimed sneaker, hoping to influence a generation of men to study history and appreciate the design. Many young fans, for example, shoe lace up the Air Jordans but haven’t seen Michael Jordan play or understand the relevance. It is not just a brand.

“Those who do not like we just want to wear sneakers, but they are hanging on their walls and their standing in the room, like a statue,” he said.
